Photo Vaulty Support

Photo Vaulty is currently in development for iPhone. These guides explain the current app’s core controls and limits.

Unlocking and recovery

Use your chosen password, six-digit passcode or swipe pattern. If enabled, Face ID or Touch ID offers another local unlock method. Use “Use my recovery key” to reset a forgotten vault lock. We cannot recover a lost key or open an encrypted vault for you.

Backups and device transfer

Keep a personal encrypted backup and its key separately. Pro sharing creates an independent snapshot with a separate transfer key. It does not provide live synchronization or revoke copies on other devices. Current in-memory archives support up to 180 MB of media and 260 MB archive input; a large video may fit locally but exceed the backup limit. Keep independent originals.

Import limits

Up to 50 selections per batch, 25 MB per still photo, 100 megapixels per photo and 250 MB per video. Live Photo motion, RAW and animated-image import are not supported. Free includes 100 photos, 10 videos and 3 vaults across the library, including Recently Deleted.

Purchases and subscriptions

Use Restore purchases in the app’s upgrade screen. Manage recurring subscriptions and request eligible refunds through Apple. If Pro expires, existing local media remains readable and exportable; adding beyond free limits requires Pro.

Duress deletion

A configured duress code immediately deletes all local vaults and their device-held unlocking keys. It cannot delete independent backups, shared copies, Apple Photos originals or files on other devices. Do not test it on your only copy of important media.
